Questions hosts ask.
What does my guest see?
A map of your area with the places you picked, your own note on each one, the walking time from your door and whether it is open. They open it from a link or the QR code on your fridge sheet. There is no app to install and no sign-up.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. A guest taps Save for offline once, and the map, the places and your notes keep working with no connection.
What is in the free plan, exactly?
One property and up to 8 restaurants. We find them around your address and you can change them. You also get the live map with its link, and the fridge sheet. The map carries a small "Made with The Guest Map" badge. Cafés, bars, beaches, things to do and shops are part of the Host plan, along with the postcard, the poster and guest activity.
If I upgrade, do I have to start again?
No. Upgrading keeps the same map, the same link and the same QR code, so the fridge sheet you printed still works.
How do I cancel?
From the email receipt or your dashboard, in two taps. The plan runs to the end of the month or year you paid for. After that your guest link, QR code and printed sheets keep working as they were; to edit the map again, restart the plan.
I already bought a Guest Map. What changes?
Nothing. Your plan, your link, your QR codes and your PDFs keep working, and your plan renews each year at the price you were given.
What do you track about my guests?
On a Host plan we track how your guests use your map, so you see real numbers. Each phone gets a random number, kept on the phone in a cookie and its browser storage for 12 months. Against it we keep the places the guest opened, their searches, their taps on directions and the other buttons, their hearts and Been here ticks, their language, the country and city they were in, and a visit when their phone stays at one of your places for five minutes with Near me on. We never ask a guest's name, the IP address is not stored, and a guest's position never leaves their phone. Guests in the EU and the UK are asked first and can say no: the storage the map needs to work is always on, and the cookie that counts is set only after they choose Accept all. Anyone can change their choice under Privacy on the map. A phone that says no is counted in plain totals only. On the free plan we keep plain totals only.
